We were relocated to another hotel in the group Torel Saboaria where we had a wonderful room. The breakfast was superb we had lunch and dinner which were equally as good as breakfast. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. Breakfast was lovely and an experience. They opened only a month ago so some things were not functioning yet. Spacious rooms with gorgeous architectural details, directly across from most famous outdoor Bolhão market. Walking distance to a lot of historical spots as well as the Douro riverfront. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and very helpful with suggestions. As a family traveling with a 7 year old were surprised to learn upon arrival that the pool was only available from 8am-11am for our child, The concierge wasn’t very helpful or offered any insights for our stay in Porto. For a small-ish property you’d expect more personalized service. "Beautiful property overall, but unfortunately the room needs some attention. The bathroom and the area under the kitchen sink had a strong mould smell, and there was visible black mould on the shower caulking and even around the bathroom towel hook. The shower also did not drain properly, which caused water to back up onto the bathroom floor.
The host provided restaurant recommendations, which was appreciated, but unfortunately all of the places suggested were closed during our stay.

"there was nothing we liked... the foto made one think it was in a green location.
it was sqeezed in between other hotels, on a very steep hill, very narrow street reception is in bmt.
staff was unfriendly, room was like a cell, window opened untoa roof and walk way, so we could not sleep w. open window... address is wrong, the place is in Geres which is a town 27 km further east, we had to backtrack after we got to the town that is noted on the reservation, which is act. the district...
